You can reduce this time limit to enable live tracking. By default, the location updates every 5 minutes. The device needs a stable internet connection to upload the location data on the FollowMee website. FollowMee turns your smartphone into a GPS-tracking device that can be monitored from the FollowMee website. Existing imagery will still be accessible through Google Maps.FollowMee is an excellent GPS tracker for Android and iOS devices. One of the notices says "Photo Paths are going away", so it seems the company is shutting this feature down. These would then be strung together to cover locations that haven't been shot with Google's cameras.
